Sunday to Sunday rental Check in 4pm - Check out 9am Fireplaces are not to be used by tenants. Use of fire pit will require a fire permit from the local police department. No garage access. On occasional mornings, caretaker may be on site to weed, mow &/or water. Care will be taken so tenants will not be disturbed.

Hamblen House is a historic home that offers modern amenities with yesteryear charm, where original wood flooring, wainscoting and period moldings combine with updated features such as granite, stainless steel and modern color palettes. The main house is perfectly suited for four, and the stylish, detached guest house accommodates up to 4 - 6 more. This charming offering will be your home away from home. Acadia National Park's Seal Cove entrance is literally just down the street, as are other national park venues such as St. Saviour, Flying, Acadia, and Beech Hill mountains, the park's Echo Lake swimming area and the Seawall and Ship Harbor entrances to the park. It's conveniently located less than one mile from Southwest Harbor's bustling village and fine shopping and restaurants, and Causeway Club golf, too. Start your day from the upper balcony with a cup of coffee and a warm blueberry muffin. Spend your day exploring the national park, one of the island's special villages, or venture beyond Mt. Deserts Islands shores looking for whales or puffins. And finally, wind down at the end of the day by sitting with family and friends around the fire pit.

FIRST LEVEL MAIN HOUSE: Covered wrap-around porch with seating. Entry with half bath. Large kitchen with breakfast table opens to light-filled living room with plenty of seating. Large dining room and bar area.  SECOND LEVEL MAIN HOUSE: Master bedroom with queen bed & balcony overlooking back yard. En Suite bath with tub and steam shower.  Second bedroom with 2 twin beds (can be converted to king with advance request.)  Private bath with tub and shower.  LAYOUT: GUEST QUARTERS: A brick walkway leads you to Hamblen House's stylish new guest quarters. The detached guest quarters are of post and beam construction yet feature modern styling cues. Two large bedrooms, each with a private entrance, share a small, fully-applianced kitchen and a full bath with tub and shower. One bedroom offers a queen bed, the other has two full size (double) beds.
