Friday to Friday rental. Check in 3pm - Check out 11am. Please be advised that there is a separate attached apartment with a private entrance, that is not included with the rental of Mountain View. Inquire for more details. In the off season additional fees will apply for heat.

Situated in the historical & picturesque village of Somesville, this lovely 3000 +/- square foot family home is located up a winding drive. "Mountain View" sits on a private elevated 5 1/2 acre lot offering a large sprawling lawn and views of Cadillac Mountain in the distance. The spacious light filled floor plan invites an elegant, yet a casual retreat with modern amenities for all to enjoy after a day of exploring throughout Acadia National Park. This property is centrally located to all that you might want to see and do while staying on Mount Desert Island, making it the perfect spot to spend your vacation.

FIRST LEVEL: Large chef's kitchen featuring professional, upscale appliances, lots of counter space and a 7' oversized island perfect for prep space. Floor to ceiling windows line the attached dining area, that also features a Swedish soapstone fireplace. From the dining area there is access to a small deck where one will find the gas grill. Off to one side off the kitchen there is a hall powder room and a small seating area at the bottom of one of the 2 staircases. In the other direction off the kitchen, leads into the great room consisting of the formal dining room, a large comfortable family room and the enclosed sun porch with access to a stone patio. There is also a lovely oversized window seat which overlooks the expansive lawn. Off of the living room is a den.
SECOND LEVEL: Master bedroom with cathedral ceiling, skylight and a large wall of ornate windows. Queen bed and a full ensuite bathroom with a large glassed-in shower and Jacuzzi tub. Queen bedroom with another ornate window wall offering mountain views, offering a built in dresser. 3rd bedroom with a queen bed adjourns to the 4th bedroom with a double bed. Recently renovated hall marble bath with large glass shower (no tub).
