Description

“McGiffert Cabin” is part of a four-generation family compound privately nestled in the woods, along the shores of Pretty Marsh Harbor right next door to the “McGiffert House”. This property is the perfect rustic rental for larger parties as there are two properties in total to consider. The “McGiffert Cabin” will easily accommodate up to10 guests. If more space is needed, you can also rent the main house “McGiffert House”. There is a shared dock / float, an accessible shoreline and the added fun of a fire ring. The two properties are linked by a meandering path through the woods. The McGiffert Cabin is centrally located to all that Mount Desert Island & Acadia National Park has to offer for a wonderful Maine vacation.
OTHER: There is even and separate little cabin close by with a double bed & electricity, but no plumbing.

Layout

Entering via the side door into the hallway, here you will find a bedroom with 2 twins on one side, and a twin bunk room on the other. Down the hall is a full bath with tub and shower. Another bedroom with 2 twins. Eat-in kitchen with spacious dining area with exposed cathedral ceilings (seating for 8), ceiling fan and deck access. Enter into the light filled living room that has cathedral ceilings, with exposed wooden beams, ceiling fan, a wood burning fireplace, and access to a covered porch. From the living room you step us a few stairs to access to the master bedroom with a king bed and a ensuite full bath with shower (no tub).

OTHER: Accessible via a ship’s ladder, is a lofted space with two single mattresses on the floor that can accommodate overflow guests.
