Description

Crow's Nest was built in 1920's for an in-law’s summer home while they ran the family’s nearby Oakland House hotel and restaurant. Crow’s Nest Cottage’s covered porch (walk up some stone stairs from the parking area to the porch) is comforting and romantic, with a breathtaking view of the Reach and Pumpkin Lighthouse below. Its interior is authentically rustic with high log beams open to the roof above. But, it’s sophisticated in detail and finish. In other words…it has an authentic “Maine” style uniquely its own. There are two bedrooms, one with a King bed and the other with two twin beds. The kitchen is complete with a gas stove, microwave, eating/cooking utensils, cups and dishes. It has a refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, pots and pans and of course a lobster pot. The living room has a fireplace and hide-a-bed that sleeps 2. Off of the living room there is a small office with a desk and chair. There is a full bathroom with a tub and shower.
