Check in 4pm / Check out 10am For those with allergies, cats have been in the house. Due to elevated sodium levels in the water, please only drink from the special faucet installed to the right of the kitchen sink. Water is safe for washing dishes, laundry, bathing etc.
Located right at the end of Steamboat Wharf Road in the peaceful village of Bernard, this 1885 captain's house overlooks outer Bass Harbor with extended views of Gott's Island, Placentia Island & Swan's island. From the deck , you can enjoy a private view of lobster boats pulling their gear and sailing ships as they pass and occasionally moor directly in front of the house. An easy to access pebble beach provides a perfect place to launch a sea kayak, canoe or small row boat or even take a swim if you have the courage! Also, across the road there is access to the harbor where the water is a little warmer and you are protected from the prevailing wind. The water in Maine is very cold. If it is lobster you want, it's just a short walk to famous Thurston's Lobster wharf & Restaurant.
FIRST LEVEL: Enter off the waterside deck into the entry, and then into the dining room. Eat in kitchen. Full bath with tub & shower. Living room. Off the dining room is a bedroom with a queen bed. Tv room /game room with window seat.
SECOND LEVEL: Full bath with shower (no tub). 2 Bedrooms each with double beds. Bedroom with a queen bed. Bedroom with a king bed.
THIRD FLOOR IS OFF LIMITS.

Rental payments must be in US funds and can be in the form of a personal check, cashier's or certified check,traveler's check or cash. Visa, Master Card, and Discover are now accepted. If paying by credit card there will be a 3.5% administrative fee applied to the payment.
